UK doctors have unveiled a cutting-edge AI-powered stethoscope that promises to transform heart diagnostics by detecting potential cardiac issues in just 15 seconds. Experts emphasize that the device is intended for patients exhibiting symptoms of heart problems rather than for routine screenings. Dr. Patrik Bächtiger of Imperial College London commented, “After more than 200 years, the stethoscope has been reimagined. Within 15 seconds, it can indicate conditions like heart failure, atrial fibrillation, or valve disease with high precision.”

Dr. Sonya Babu-Narayan, clinical director of the British Heart Foundation, stressed the importance of early detection: “Heart failure is frequently diagnosed too late. Technologies like this allow patients to receive timely treatment, improving long-term health and quality of life.”
